Sectors
All the major IT service firms are organised by vertical sector. This said, our main business is technology and all our staff are skilled in this area before going on to learn about their customers' business. GFI was among the first to understand the benefit to customers and to the firm of a better perception of our customers' businesses. The benefit is obvious even if merely in terms of understanding the customer's needs, the challenges likely to arise in its business sector in the near future, talking the same language, etc.
Without claiming to be expert in all vertical sectors or to know more than our customers about their business, we believe that we have acquired a level of understanding in four particular sectors that gives us genuine credibility in project supervision and project management missions for which knowledge of the business sector concerned is a clear competitive advantage.
